Kindermusik Imagine That! is a class for your preschooler, taking you and your child on a musical journey of discovery and exploration…a journey limited only by the power of imagination! Pretend play activities are integrated with music, vocal development, storytelling, movement and literature to capture your child’s potential to learn and to encourage cognitive and literacy skills, creativity and individuality.
Imagine That! encourages socialization, sharing, and participation in group activities. All family members and caregivers attend the special Family Sharing Time during the last 10 minutes of class.
- Cities! Busy Places, Friendly Faces.
- Imagine a city, where ordinary sounds and sights on the street make a musical ensemble. Every child will love the fun as we explore this busy place - a city that’s really many “cities” in one. There’s a city of music, songs and city sounds. There’s a city of the imagination – will they be a police officer, an artist, or a grocer today? There’s a city of stories – to read and play out together. There’s a city of movement – sweeping like a street cleaner, going up and down like an elevator, or freezing like statues. There is also a city of games – teaching all about tempo, or critical thinking. While building this city of imagination, stories, music and sounds, we’ll explore a mini-city of skills developing so rapidly in their minds and bodies: pre-ensemble development, mathematics, social interactions and discriminatory listening.
