Kindermusik Our Time is a class where children, along with a parent or caregiver, enjoy singing, moving, listening, interacting socially, and playing instruments. We’ll introduce basic musical concepts such as steady beat, melodic patterning and tempo variation through dancing, bouncing, and playing with shakers, drums, puppets, balls, parachute, streamers and more!
Our Time encourages your child to uncover an engaging musical world while building self-control, coordination and communication skills. With you by her side, she’ll learn to be confident and secure in her physical surroundings.

- Animals - whether furry, web-footed, winged or whiskered - are explored through song and movement. Animal sounds, which are so appealing to children, naturally prompt imitation and provide abundant active listening and musical fun. Explore concepts such as high and low, smooth and bumpy, and fast and slow. This age range marks the beginning of meaningful socialization, so we’ll make new friends and dance with them and participate in lots of group activities. When toddlers socialize with you by their side, group activities provide them an emotionally secure and safe environment to develop these vital skills. Fiddle around with us this semester as we enjoy stringed music and songs about animals from all over the world!

- 2 CD’s featuring the same delightful music from class, with each song arranged to a toddler’s musical taste – strong on rhythm and high in emotional contrasts.
- 2 books that we read in class, destined to become favorites while helping develop valuable story-telling and pre-reading skills.
- 2 instruments to give your pots and pans a rest, and lets your little one practice the sense of rhythm just waiting to leap out of her.
- A Home Activity Guide that includes all the songs and lyrics, and combines child development information with simple, less than five-step instructions for extending the learning from his favorite activities in class to home.
- A specially themed container to store it all in.
